Clean up trash, collect it, then upcycle it into new products. It's that simple!
Start with making fertilizer with your worm farm with organic waste. Don't forget to go into your worm farm and pet your worms! A healthy worm is a more productive worm! You can later master paper, glass, and plastic to make up-cycled products out of waste and earn more experience, badges and money.
One Man's Trash Is Another Man's Treasure
Invite your friends to give you a hand cleaning up your town! Their help will prove invaluable when you are not around and the trash continues to pile up... You can also walk into their map and return a favor, or trade-in different waste items to boost your production line. Use our in-game chat system to trash talk in real time ;-)

Create a team with your friends or join an existing team to complete special joint actions and win team points and rewards. How do I clean up a house?
Hover your cursor over a house covered in garbage or a garbage pile until highlighted. Then left-click to begin cleaning. Trash, experience, and collectibles will randomly appear everytime you clean. You can click or wait for them to automatically be stored in your recycle bin or inventory depending on the item
What are the different types of trash I can collect?
Organic
Glass
Plastic
Paper
I discovered something elsewhen I cleaned up a building!
This is an experience point. By getting enough of these you can gain levels which unlock various things
If it's not an experience point or a piece of trash, it's a collectible item. Trade these with you friends and try and collect them all!
How do I upcycle to create new items?
First, create an "upcycle" machine by purchasing one in the mall under the machine tab. Click on the machine and it will give you options on what the object is, how long it takes to make it, what is required to make it, and the amount of experience points you receive from completing the production. For example, if you would like to make a lunch box it takes 2 plastic pieces of trash and 20 coins.
INTERFACE EXPLAINED
This is the amount of coins you have. You get coins from selling items made from trash. Coins allow you to purchase items and create new upcycled items with machines
This is the amount of Facebook credits you have. By purchasing Facebook credits you can purchase exclusive items, make productions go quicker, unlock items early, and much more!
This is your Greenness Level. Clean up buildings and sidewalks and place decorations to beautify your city. Doing this increases your Greenness Level. By increasing your Greenness Level you can increase your population and unlock various items, machines, etc
This icon shows how much trash you have in your recycle bin(s)
This is your energy meter. The large number shows how much energy you have left. Each time you clean you lose 1 energy point. Energy replenishes itself over time. You can also spend coins and Facebook credits to increase energy.
This shows your population and experience points. By gaining experience points you can gain levels which unlock new items and abilities
These icons orient the player around the map. By clicking the avatar icon, the game centers on your character. By clicking the + and – magnifying glasses you can zoom in or zoom out of the game.
THE RECYCLE BIN MENU
This is the menu system in Trash Tycoon. There are four main icons and the settings menu tab. The icon in the top left is the tools button. This allows you to move, rotate, or place an object. The icon to the right of it is the “My Stuff” icon.
This icon brings up your avatar customization options, your inventory, badges, colllections, partners, and goals.
The bottom left icon is the mall icon where you purchase machines, pets, and decorations.
The icon on the bottom right is the teams button. With this menu you can form teams with other Facebook friends or members of your real Terracycle team.
The settings tab let's you change the game to fullscreen, negate the music and sound, and change the quality of the game to meet your computer's needs.
How do I store upcycled items?
Before you can store upcycled items, you must first purchase a warehouse to store them in. You can upgrade the warehouse to increase the amount of items it can store
What are goals?
Goals are objectives to complete and are the main driving force in the game. By completing these goals you will receive a great deal of coins and experience points. You can access goals by the My Stuff section or alternatively, icons of the different goals will show up on the left hand side of the screen
What are Badges?
Simply put, badges are rewards for doing something really awesome in Trash Tycoon. There are several different levels in each category of badges. So for example the first Glass Master badge is the Copper Badge, followed by Silver Badge and so on.
What are Decorations?
Decorations are items that help beautify your city. By placing them throughout your city you can increase your Greenness Level. Here are some examples of decorations:

MULTIPLAYER
Neighbor Bar
This is the friend bar. All of your Facebook friends who play Trash Tycoon will show up in the friend bar at the bottom of your screen. If they are online, they will have a green circle on their profile picture.
Unlike most Facebook games, Trash Tycoon allows the player to interact in another player's town in real time. When you visit another player's town you can help them clean up their town as well as chat with him/her as well as other players who join the town.
